About
Sam Devine Tischler

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit my photography site. My passion for photography was ignited before the digital age. My approach is a balanced blend of analog and digital techniques, including platinum palladium, silver gelatin, and van dyke printing processes. Each photograph or print I create varies on how the subject speaks to me in the moment. While much of my work is crafted exclusively with traditional analog film and hand-printed in the darkroom, I also explore the unique artistry that comes from combining digital processes with classic methods.

The result is a collection of unique, handcrafted imagery and fine art prints that transcend conventional boundaries, spanning still lifes, landscapes, portraits, and any subject that inspires me. My photography highlights the tactile beauty and enduring quality of alternative photographic processes. I am drawn to the craftsmanship, patience, and attention required by platinum palladium and silver gelatin techniques, which allow each print to become a lasting, physical object. Each piece is a meditation, hand crafted by me.

Many of my limited edition prints are available for purchase through this website, with select works featuring platinum palladium, toned van dyke, and silver gelatin printing. Occasionally, I will offer special print sales for a limited time, so please check back frequently for updates and new fine art releases. Private viewings of my work can be arranged upon request in Santa Fe.

Collectors, galleries, and licensing inquiries are always welcome. Please email me if you are interested in licensing images, arranging a private viewing, or purchasing fine art prints not currently listed for sale. Thank you for your interest in my work.

“I have been fascinated by the photographic process since I was very young. The magic of watching that first print come up in the developer has stuck with me….The pinhole photographs are especially fun to make as it challenges me to expand the way I see things photographically. ”
